On 21-22 January 2010 we are organising the third Belgian-French gathering of PhD students in computer science and informatics. The event will be held in Valenciennes (France), hosted by the University of Valenciennes. The first edition of this event was organised in Lille (France) in January 2008 and attracted more than 30 doctoral students from Belgium and France. The second edition was organised in Mons (Belgium) in January 2009 with more than 60 doctoral students registered including Flemish ones, thus confirming the growing interest for the event. This year, we hope to attract even more, and particularly more participants in the last year of their thesis.

As a PhD researcher, you can benefit from attending this event in various ways:
- by presenting your research (if you are nearing completion of your PhD or have completed it very recently)
- by publishing your PhD summary in a booklet that will be distributed to all participants and will also be made available in electronic format
- by interacting with other PhD students attending the event
- by increasing the visibility of yourself and your work
- by interacting with industrial participants, and thereby stimulating transfer of your research results to industry
- by having a look at what's happening at the other side of the border
- by obtaining credits for attending the event (in the context of your PhD programme)

Registration is required, the registration deadline for PhD students is 21/12/2009.
